This session brings together global voices to confront one of the most pressing ocean challenges—marine pollution. From plastics to nutrient runoff, heavy metals to underwater noise, the first keynote explores the current State of the Ocean, offering a snapshot of the multifaceted pressures affecting marine ecosystems.

A series of dynamic flash talks will then showcase advances in monitoring technologies, from in situ and satellite observation to modelling - key technologies to informing and guiding policy and action.
 The second keynote presentation will spotlight citizen science as a tool for data collection and empowerment, highlighting community-driven ocean stewardship
Further flash talks will present solution-oriented initiatives supporting SDG 14.1. An open panel and floor discussion will then invite diverse perspectives to foster collaboration. 
The session concludes with a powerful data visualization and wrap-up emphasizing data-driven action and inclusive solutions.
