Dr. Toshio Suga is a Professor of Physical Oceanography at Tohoku University and Director of the WPI-AIMEC institute. His research focuses on large-scale ocean circulation, ocean ventilation, and the ocean's role in climate change. He is a key contributor to the global Argo program, using autonomous floats to monitor ocean conditions.
