Co-founder
Laura Khatib is the co-founder of the NGO Guardians of the Blue based in Byblos, Lebanon, as well as an independent consultant in project management, blue economy and ocean literacy. Her background is in development economics and sustainable blue economy, with her main interest laying in developing and spreading ocean literacy to reconnect local communities to their blue spaces. She is the co-lead of the ECOP Programme Ocean Literacy task team, a Steering Committee member of UNESCO-IOC Ocean Literacy With All Programme, and a UNESCO Green Citizen.
