Gonéri Le Cozannet is a geoscientist at BRGM, France’s national geological survey, where he has specialized in coastal risks and climate change since 2006. His research focuses on the impacts of sea-level rise, including coastal erosion, flooding, and saltwater intrusion, and on strategies for adaptation. He served as a lead author for the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report on climate impacts and adaptation and currently sits on France’s High Council for the Climate, advising on national climate policy. Le Cozannet also coordinates the CoCliCo project, which aims to develop a European climate service for coastal adaptation.
