Dr. Marie-Hélène Rio is a French oceanographer and satellite remote sensing expert at the European Space Agency (ESA). She develops algorithms for satellite missions like Sentinel-3, focusing on ocean surface currents, sea level, and temperature.
With a PhD in physical oceanography and early work at CLS (a CNES subsidiary), she has contributed to major ESA projects like GOCE and GlobCurrent. Her research, particularly on Mean Dynamic Topography, supports climate studies and maritime applications.
