Nikia Gooding is a Remote Sensing Research Officer at the Institute of Marine Affairs (IMA) in Trinidad and Tobago. Specializing in geospatial analysis, she supports the IMA's coastal and marine environmental research through spatial modeling and Earth observation technologies. Her work includes monitoring mangrove ecosystems, detecting coastline changes, and assessing oil spills. Gooding has co-authored publications on mangrove conservation and represents Trinidad and Tobago as the national focal point for both the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) and the Group on Earth Observations (GEO). She holds an MSc in Geoinformatics and a BSc in Geography and Environmental and Natural Resource Management from the University of the West Indies.
