Lewis Pugh is an endurance swimmer, maritime lawyer, and the UN Patron of the Oceans. He was the first person to complete long-distance swims in every ocean, including across the North Pole and the length of the English Channel. Founder of the Lewis Pugh Foundation, he campaigns to protect 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030 — with efforts already helping to safeguard over 3.5 million km² of marine ecosystems. Recognised by National Geographic and the World Economic Forum, and awarded South Africa’s highest honour, Lewis is also a powerful keynote speaker known for linking extreme challenges to purpose, resilience, and global conservation.
