Anny Cazenave is a renowned French geophysicist and senior scientist at the Laboratory of Geophysics and Oceanography from Space (LEGOS) in Toulouse. Her work focuses on satellite geodesy, sea level rise, and the global water cycle. She played a key role in major satellite missions like TOPEX/Poseidon and Jason, advancing the understanding of climate-related sea level changes.
She contributed to multiple IPCC reports and served as a lead author on sea level chapters. Cazenave was also a visiting professor at the Collège de France and held leadership roles at LEGOS and the International Space Science Institute in Switzerland.
She is a member of several national and international science academies and received the prestigious Vetlesen Prize in 2020 for her groundbreaking work in Earth sciences.
